The 18-year-old was one of 13 newcomers named in coach Mauricio Pochettino's first roster since the US's World Cup exit at the hands of Belgium this summer. Hall has represented the US at U15 and U17 level, but has also been called up to Poland youth national team camps.
Hall's decision is not a straightforward one, as he has been wearing the name "Zakrzewski" on the back of his jersey in a nod to his Polish mother. He could make his senior debut for the US in the coming weeks, but would still be able to opt to represent Poland. FIFA rules state that a player is only committed to a nation once they have appeared in a competitive game, which friendlies do not count.
