Aaron Ramsdale, a 28-year-old goalkeeper, has fallen from the top of the Premier League to the bench in the Championship. The Englishman was signed by Arsenal from Sheffield United for 30 million euros in the 2021/22 season, where he played 37 matches in his first season. He then played 41 matches for the Gunners in his second season, helping the team finish second. However, in the third season, he was replaced by David Raya and subsequently moved to the bench.
Ramsdale was transferred to Southampton for 20 million euros, where he is now the fourth choice keeper. The club has lost 30 matches and been relegated to the Championship. Voetbalzone reports that Ramsdale was loaned to Newcastle United, where he played 23 matches, but was eventually replaced by Nick Pope, who played 36 matches. Ramsdale has now returned to Southampton.
