Sterling, who has played for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City, was accused of reckless driving and refusing to provide a breath sample after the incident. He was found to be in possession of seven cylinders containing the substance. The 31-year-old will be sentenced on November 25.

Sterling's defence team has submitted a dossier to the judge, including letters of recommendation from former teammates. The case could result in Sterling being imprisoned, but his lawyers will argue that the circumstances justify a suspended sentence. Sterling has been temporarily banned from driving.
