According to VoetbalPrimeur, Atlético Madrid has secured the loan of Jonathan David from Juventus, with the 26-year-old Canadian striker set to face PSV in December. David has been with Juventus since mid-2025, after the Italian club acquired him from Lille a year prior. The striker has a impressive record, scoring 109 goals in 232 official matches for Lille since 2020.

David's loan deal to Atlético Madrid has been confirmed, with no option for the Spanish club to purchase him from Juventus. The Canadian striker was one of the standout players at the 2026 World Cup, scoring a hattrick against Qatar in a 6-0 win. He is also the all-time top scorer for Canada, with 42 goals in 82 international appearances.

In a separate move, Juventus has covered the loan of David to Atlético Madrid by taking on Nick Woltemade on loan from Newcastle United.
