Charles De Ketelaere, a Belgium international, has revealed that Atalanta wanted €50m to sanction a sale of him, which ultimately led to Paris Saint-Germain choosing Ferran Torres instead. This decision was made despite De Ketelaere speaking with PSG during the summer transfer window.
The €50m price tag was reportedly around the amount that Atalanta wanted, according to De Ketelaere. However, the Belgium international believes that several teams in the Premier League could have met this price tag, but it didn't happen.
De Ketelaere is currently without a goal in the 2026-27 season, having provided five goals and seven assists for Atalanta in the previous season. He is expected to feature for Belgium in the first Nations League fixture of the 2026-27 campaign against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday night.
