Paris Saint-Germain are set to make a €35m offer for Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, Reuters reports. Suzuki, 23, was a key player for Japan in the World Cup, playing in all four matches and making 12 saves. He also had a good performance in the 16th round match against Brazil, where Japan narrowly missed out on a quarter-final spot.
The French champions plan to sign Suzuki and then loan him out to another Serie A team, reportedly Juventus. This move would allow the young goalkeeper to continue playing in the top division, while also giving him valuable experience. The PSG already have two goalkeepers in Matvey Safonov and Lucas Chevalier, so they do not want to add another competitor for the starting spot in the team of coach Luis Enrique.
