Paris Saint-Germain has signed Mika Godts, a 21-year-old Belgian player, from Ajax for a reported minimum of €55 million. The transfer marks a significant loss for Ajax, who have seen one of their most valuable players leave the club. Godts had already given his consent to join PSG, and the French club's second bid was enough to convince Ajax's technical director to accept the offer. The deal could potentially rise to a maximum of €58 million through bonuses.
Mika Godts joined Ajax in January 2023 for approximately €1 million. He made his debut for the Amsterdam club in April 2023 against Fortuna Sittard and went on to become the best player of Ajax last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 13 assists in the Eredivisie. He was also named Talent of the Year. The 21-year-old Belgian international made his debut for the Belgium national team in March. Godts will face competition from players in the PSG team. He is now set to join PSG in search of a third consecutive Champions League title.
