The Palmeiras club is concerned about the physical problems that have arisen after the players returned from international competitions. According to a report by Globo Esporte Futebol, the club had nine physical problems after the players returned from the World Cup, with five of them being players who participated in the tournament.
Globo Esporte Futebol reported that the club's assistant coach, João Martins, stated that the team is hoping that the players who are currently out due to injuries will be able to perform well in the final stretch of the season. Martins said, "– Esperamos que esses jogadores quando voltarem consigam nesta reta final ter o rendimento sem os problemas que tiveram antes –."
The Palmeiras club still has three players in the Brazilian U-20 national team: Kauan Lima, Erick Belé, and Heittor.
The club's first step during the FIFA international window was to give the team a week of rest. The players are expected to return on Friday at 10am (Brasília time) for a team meeting, where they will be able to recover physically and mentally for the final stretch of the season.
