The Japanese Deshima Football Consultancy, which already owned a quarter of the shares, has now acquired 50% of MVV's shares. According to the club, this move brings international knowledge, network, and experience in professional football to the team. VoetbalPrimeur reports that the remaining half of the ownership lies with a group of local entrepreneurs, known as the Maastricht Collectief, which played a crucial role in helping MVV in 2024 after an American investor pulled out. The club hopes that this new structure will bring financial stability and strengthen its position in the professional football league.
