Memphis Depay has agreed to renew his contract with Corinthians, bringing an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future at the club. The Corinthians' Council of Orientation gave a positive opinion for the renewal of Memphis' contract, allowing the club's president, Osmar Stabile, to sign the necessary documents. This is expected to happen in the next few hours.

The Dutch forward has not played in over 50 days and has not trained in the field since the elimination of his team in the World Cup. However, he has been working with physical trainer Diego Pereira during his holidays and is expected to be in good physical condition to help Corinthians in their upcoming Libertadores match against Rosario Central.

Memphis Depay is expected to start on the bench and play for 30 to 45 minutes in the match against Rosario Central on the next Thursday. The club's department of football is racing against time to register the new contract with the CBF and have the player in the BID before the match.

Despite not playing since 25 June, when he defended the Netherlands in the World Cup, and not training in the field since the team's elimination, the staff of Memphis understands that the forward is in good physical condition to help Corinthians in the decisive Libertadores match.
