According to Voetbal International, Füllkrug has returned to Werder Bremen on loan, allowing Piroe to join the squad without any immediate competition from the German striker. Piroe is set to sign with West Ham United after completing his medical examination at the club. He will be joining from Leeds United, where he previously played.
West Ham United finished 18th in the Premier League last season, but have started their Championship campaign with a draw against Burnley. The club did, however, win their first League Cup match 3-1 against Portsmouth. With Piroe on the verge of signing, the competition for places in the squad will now be between him and the existing players, including Taty Castellanos and Pablo.
The transfer of Piroe to West Ham United is almost complete, with only the signing of a contract remaining. The club's fans will be eager to see how Piroe will fit into the team and contribute to their Championship campaign.
