Mark Diemers has returned to De Graafschap, signing a contract until mid-2028. The 32-year-old creative midfielder had been without a club since leaving SC Cambuur. Voetbal International had previously reported that Diemers was on the verge of joining De Graafschap, and it appears that has now come to fruition.
Diemers had a successful spell at SC Cambuur last season, scoring nine goals and providing 14 assists as the team promoted to the Eredivisie. However, he did not make the step up to the top tier with the club. Instead, he has opted to remain in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie with De Graafschap, who are currently struggling with just four points from seven games. Diemers' experience and creativity will be a welcome addition to the team under Thomas Duivenvoorden.
