Excelsior has a good start to the Eredivisie season, winning three of four matches and currently sitting in fifth place. Yegoian has been in top form for the club, scoring two goals and providing three assists in the Eredivisie season so far. He scored a goal and provided an assist in the match against Willem II.

Been believes that Yegoian's creativity and consistency will lead to a significant transfer fee for the club. "Irakli Yegoian is only 22, but he's taking Excelsior by the hand," Been said. "He's been doing this since last season, but now even more noticeably. Every week, he's good and his creativity is yielding results."

Been has also praised other Excelsior players, including Stijn van Gassel and Rick Meissen, who have been performing well for the club. Van Gassel scored a goal and provided an assist in the match against Willem II, while Meissen has formed a strong partnership with Casper Widell in the center of defense.
