Manchester City is willing to transfer Cody Gakpo, with the Premier League club set to send a bid of almost 100 million euros to Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano. The move comes after it was revealed that Gakpo has a personal agreement with Manchester City, with the club now sending a total package of 99.3 million euros to Liverpool. VoetbalPrimeur reports that Gakpo has already reached a personal agreement with Manchester City, which is now being followed up with a formal bid.

The Reds are reportedly willing to work with Manchester City on a transfer of Gakpo, but want to sign an extra winger before allowing the deal to go through. Liverpool are said to be close to signing Bradley Barcola, but this is not enough to meet their requirements. The club are also considering Ismaïla Sarr and Yakuba Minteh as potential reinforcements.

PSV, Gakpo's former club, may be entitled to a training compensation fee if the transfer goes through. The Eindhoven club sold Gakpo to Liverpool in January 2023 for a small 50 million euros, and it is unclear whether a sell-on clause was included in the deal.
