The sale of Allan to Manchester City has been the most valuable transfer of the season, with the midfielder leaving Palmeiras for a reported 37.5 million euros fixed, equivalent to around R$ 225 million. This deal has made Allan the 12th most valuable sale in Brazilian football history.
The transfer has been a significant boost for Palmeiras, who have also negotiated the sale of six other players to foreign clubs this season. The club has earned almost R$ 400 million from these transfers, with Aníbal Moreno and Facundo Torres leaving the club at the start of the year. Other players to depart include goleiro Kaique, zagueiro Naves, and atacantes Luighi and Riquelme Fillipi, all of whom were Crias da Academia.
Meanwhile, Grêmio is closing in on Palmeiras' numbers, having earned over R$ 250 million from eight deals this season. The club has sold Alysson to Aston Villa for 10 million euros, Viery to Fiorentina for 15 million euros, and Gabriel Mec to Porto for 11 million euros.
The sale of Allan to Manchester City has been a major contributor to the total of R$ 2.042 billion earned by Brazilian clubs from player transfers this season, with 67 players being sold or loaned out.
