Sam Lammers is back at PSV, the Dutch champions have announced. The 29-year-old striker has signed a two-year contract with the club, which he left in 2017. Lammers initially joined PSV's youth academy in 2010, before progressing to Jong PSV, where he made 67 appearances. He also played 29 times for the first team.
Lammers has had a varied career, playing for several clubs including SC Heerenveen, Atalanta Bergamo, Eintracht Frankfurt, Empoli, Sampdoria, Rangers FC, FC Utrecht and FC Twente. However, he has now returned to PSV, where he has expressed his enthusiasm for the move. "PSV is in the lift, you can see that everywhere," Lammers said in an interview with the club's media channels. "From the first phone call, the feeling was great on both sides. For me, it was a no-brainer to return to PSV. The complete picture fits now. I'm back with a lot of enthusiasm, new energy and ambition."
