Javier Calleja has been appointed as the new head coach of Eldense, a Segunda División club set to be acquired by Lionel Messi. Calleja, 48, has a wealth of experience in Spanish football, having managed Al Riyadh, Real Oviedo, Levante, Alavés, and Villarreal. His experience in the Segunda División makes him an ideal candidate to lead Eldense, which is currently 16th in the table with 5 points.
The Eldense is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Lionel Messi as its maximum shareholder, pending approval from the Spanish Sports Council. Calleja's most recent stint was at Al Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, where he managed the team for 10 games between July and November last year. Castellón is the current leader of Segunda División de España with 13 points.
