Jamie Vardy's situation is complex, as he is set for his third different club in as many seasons. He departed Italian club Cremonese following their relegation from Serie A, despite being prepared to pen an extension had they stayed up. The 39-year-old scored seven goals and three assists in 29 appearances for Cremonese.

talkSPORT's Alex Crook believes Vardy still looks in top physical condition, which could make him an attractive option for several clubs. He did pretty well over in Italy. I think he'd prefer a return to English football, but I wouldn't totally rule out a move to Brazil.

Sheffield Wednesday, Vardy's boyhood club, have also expressed interest in signing him. However, the club is facing financial restrictions, making it challenging to put a viable offer on the table for Vardy. Owls chairman David Storch admitted live on talkSPORT's Weekend Breakfast show that he'd be 'thrilled' to have Vardy at the club.

West Ham is another contender, having made an inquiry for Vardy prior to the Championship campaign getting underway. Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo is keen on adding extra firepower to his attack. Vardy's recent visit to Leicester City, where he shared a video of himself training at the club, sparked speculation about a potential return to his old stomping grounds. However, he was only back at the club to check his fitness levels.

The next step for Vardy remains uncertain, as several clubs are vying for his signature.
