The 21-year-old England Under-21 international has been left out of Andoni Iraola's plans at Anfield, having been omitted from the squad for Liverpool's opening two Premier League games this season. Valencia are understood to have reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool to allow Elliott to join the LaLiga club on a temporary switch. Elliott is set to undergo his Valencia medical with the Spanish club set to cover the majority of his salary.

Elliott's move to Valencia comes after he was part of the Aston Villa squad that won the Europa League, but due to a clause in his contract, he barely played. The former England Under-21 international is looking to revive his career, and he is still very young. Valencia are hoping that Elliott can follow in the footsteps of Max Aarons, who joined the club on loan from Bournemouth in January 2025.

The loan move is expected to be completed before the end of the transfer window, with three other clubs having previously tried to sign Elliott.
