Gerard Piqué, a former Barcelona defender, has reignited the rivalry between the two clubs with a TikTok post. Piqué responded to a user who suggested there's "only one way" for Barcelona to win, saying, "There's only one way for Barça to win, and that's by playing excellent football." This approach has earned the team many league titles, Champions League victories, and triplets, according to Piqué.
Piqué then shifted focus to Real Madrid, citing two Champions League finals where he believes the team benefited from refereeing errors. The first instance he mentioned occurred in the 1997/98 final, where Real Madrid beat Juventus 1-0 in Amsterdam, with Predrag Mijatovic scoring the winning goal. Piqué also brought up the 2016 final, where Real won on penalties. He claimed that the goals scored by Mijatovic and Sergio Ramos in these finals were "illegal". Piqué concluded by stating that refereeing errors are common, but this statement has again provoked Barcelona's biggest rival.
