Fiorentina have confirmed that they have signed Beto, 28, on a permanent transfer from Everton after a three-year spell in the Premier League. Reports in Italy and the UK confirm that La Viola have agreed to pay a total package of €18m for the Portuguese striker’s services. Beto joined Everton in a €30m deal from Udinese in the summer of 2023 and has since gone on to score 20 goals from 99 appearances in the Premier League: Nine in 2025-26 and eight in 2024-25.

The arrival of Beto brings Fiorentina's total summer spend close to the €150m mark, following a busy transfer window that has seen the club bring in several new players. This includes Christ Inao Oulai from Trabzonspor, Arthur Atta from Udinese, Mateo Pellegrino from Parma, Viery from Gremio, Victor Caldepenas from Real Madrid, Alieu Njie from Fiorentina, Alex Jimenez from AFC Bournemouth, Joao Mario from Juventus, Radu Dragusin from Tottenham and Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid.
