Edu Gaspar, a former director at Arsenal, left the Nottingham Forest in a move reportedly due to an unsustainable situation at the club. He was told not to frequent the training centre and stadium in March. Gaspar had been at Nottingham Forest since July 2025, overseeing other clubs owned by Evangelos Marinakis, including Olympiacos and Rio Ave. During his time at the club, he spent over 200 million pounds on player transfers.
The Brazilian director has joined four other directors on the board of Levski Sofia, the current Bulgarian champions. The club has not specified Gaspar's exact role, but has stated that a president and executive director will be appointed after the next board meeting.
