The Real Madrid and Manchester City forwards have both been rated 91, with Haaland moving up one from 90 and Mbappé retaining his previous rating. Both players' ratings will have been boosted by their strong showings at this summer's World Cup, where Haaland scored seven goals for Norway and Mbappé's 10 goals gave him his second World Cup Golden Boot.
Haaland and Mbappé sit just above Spain captain Rodri, current Ballon d'Or holder Ousmane Dembélé, Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and England duo Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, who have all been given a rating of 90. Lionel Messi's stellar World Cup campaign has seen him move back up to a rating of 89 from 86.
On the women's side, new London City Lionesses signing Alexia Putellas remains the top-rated player in the game (91). She sits one above her former Barcelona teammate Aitana Bonmatí, who struggled with injuries in the 2025-26 season. Man City's Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw also gets a 90 rating after firing her team to the Women's Super League (WSL) title.
Notably, Virgil van Dijk has dropped from the 90 rating he received in EA FC 26 to 88 in the upcoming release. Mohamed Salah has dropped out of the top 27 altogether following his lacklustre final season at Anfield and subsequent move to Trabzonspor. Arsenal and England forward Alessia Russo has been downgraded from 89 to 88 despite her impressive performances last season.
EA FC 27 will be available worldwide on September 25.
