Douglas Bacelar, a 36-year-old player, has announced his departure from Figueirense through social media, according to Globo Esporte Futebol. The defender played 22 games for the club, scoring one goal and being part of the team that won the Copa Santa Catarina. He was contracted in June 2025 and had his contract prorogued while he recovered from a long-term injury.
Douglas Bacelar's departure from Figueirense comes after a period of recovery from a grade IV muscle injury in his left thigh, which he suffered in February. The player's contract was initially set to expire after the Estadual, but was extended while he underwent treatment. He returned to training with the rest of the team in May and had his contract extended again for three months.
