Philippe Coutinho, a 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder, has signed a contract with Santos until the end of the year. He will be reunited with his friend Neymar, whom he played with for the Brazilian national team on numerous occasions. Coutinho has a significant amount of experience, having played 68 times for the Seleção and scoring 21 goals. He was without a team since February, following a sudden departure from Vasco da Gama. He struggled with mental health issues during that time, which also led to a breakdown in his relationship with his long-term partner. Coutinho's best time as a footballer was at Liverpool, where he made over 200 appearances and scored 54 goals, before moving to Barcelona in 2018 for around £135 million.
