According to a letter sent by the SAFiel project to Corinthians' directors, the group has committed to 'immediately and anticipatively structure the obtaining of resources destined for the quittance of the Neo Química Arena debt before the Caixa Econômica Federal'. This proposal was made in response to Corinthians' president Osmar Stabile's public declaration that he would sign a binding document if the SAFiel quitted the debt, which amounts to R$ 642 million. The SAFiel group has also proposed a minimum agenda to Corinthians, which includes ratification of the reciprocal and written terms of the public proposal and formal authorization of the club for SAFiel to initiate negotiations with Caixa Econômica Federal. The group has outlined several key points, including the elaboration of relevant legal documents and the institution of rounds of clarification and response to questions.
