According to VoetbalPrimeur, Chelsea's Jorrel Hato made a crucial mistake in the defence, allowing Mohamed Belloumi to score the equaliser in the 21st minute. Belloumi was on target again just a few minutes later, scoring his second goal of the game. Hull City's Morgan Rodgers had opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a low shot, but the visitors managed to turn the game around before the break.
