Brest has strengthened its squad on the fringes while keeping its core intact by loaning young players Djylian N'Guessan (18) from Liverpool and Noah Edjouma (20) from Lille. N'Guessan, who joined Liverpool after being transferred from Saint-Étienne, has played only 13 matches for his former club. Edjouma, a French U21 international with three caps, has already played for Toulouse and LOSC, and will now join Brest for the second time in seven months.
L'Équipe Football reports that Brest has retained most of its key players, including Brendan Chardonnet, Hugo Magnetti, and Ludovic Ajorque, who have all committed to the club. Vice-captain Magnetti has even extended his contract. Bradley Locko and Joris Chotard have also stayed at Brest. The club has also brought in Norwegian goalkeeper Egil Selvik to replace Grégoire Coudert, who left the club.
Brest's director Julien Lachuer will now look to build on a successful transfer window, which has seen the club strengthen its squad without losing its core players.
