The two teams will play in a single match that will determine their survival in the national competition. If they advance to the next stage, they may face each other again due to their geographical proximity, as informed by the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF).
Macapá will be playing in the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 against Paysandu, while Independente will be hosting São Luís-MA at the Augusto Antunes stadium. The match against São Luís-MA will take place at 20h on 9th September.
The second stage of the competition will also be played in a single match, with the winner advancing to the next round. In case of a tie, the decision will be made through penalty shootout.
