Arthur brings a wealth of experience to Bremen, having played 44 times for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga since joining the club in 2023. The Brazilian international also has international experience, having won the 2023 U20 South American Championship with Brazil and made his senior debut for the Seleção later that year. Speaking about the move, Arthur said: "It's an important moment in my career. Werder understood [my desire to play for Brazil again] and showed their confidence in me. I want to get playing time here and demonstrate my quality."
Bremen's head of professional football, Peter Niemeyer, stated: “Arthur is a player who can help us immediately. He knows the Bundesliga and has demonstrated his abilities at the highest level. Therefore, we are delighted that we were able to sign him." Arthur could make his Bundesliga debut for Bremen this weekend, when the Green-Whites welcome RB Leipzig to the Weserstadion.
