Ethan Nwaneri has featured in all of Arsenal's pre-season games, and has made 11 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring two goals and providing one assist. The 19-year-old's last game for Arsenal was in January in the FA Cup. He played 153 minutes in the Premier League for the club. Nwaneri spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Marseille, where his loan did not go smoothly, as he was dropped in April due to his 'day-to-day commitment'.
Arsenal have discussed Nwaneri with Galatasaray during their transfer talks, but it remains to be seen whether the young player will be sold this summer. Martinelli has now rejected a potential transfer to Galatasaray. Arteta has also spoken openly about the reality of having to let some players go before the deadline on September 1.
