Míchel, Ajax's manager, expressed uncertainty about whether Wijndal's performances will be enough to secure a spot in the Dutch national team. Wijndal has been in impressive form, scoring a goal in Ajax's 3-0 win over FC Midtjylland in the Conference League. The match took place in Denmark, where Wijndal was one of the goal-scorers for Ajax.

Ajax fans have been chanting 'Owen in Oranje' in support of Wijndal's potential inclusion in the Dutch national team. Míchel hopes that a player from Ajax will soon be selected for the national team, and he believes that Wijndal is doing everything he can to put himself in the spotlight.

The Dutch national team's second selection under Xavi Hernández will be announced on Friday, with the names of the selected players to be revealed around lunchtime.
