Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira has been suspended for three games by the STJD (Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva) for kicking a microphone in a confrontation with Mirassol. As a result, assistant coach João Martins took charge of the team in their 2-0 win over São Paulo on Saturday. Martins has a background in sports discipline, having been taught by a 'fantastic' professor who taught him great stories. The work of a swimmer, he notes, is individual and unrelated to that of a footballer. Meanwhile, Ferreira will miss the next three games, including matches against Grêmio and Bahia.
