Wolves Women have hit the big time, with the team visiting the Guru Nanak Satsang Sikh Gurdwara as part of an afternoon city tour. The gurdwara, which became Wolverhampton's first in 1966, is one of several locations the team has visited as part of their preparations for their first season as a fully professional women's team. The team's new signings, including former WSL players such as Mel Lawley, Jasmine Matthews, Yana Daniëls, and Mel Filis, are acquainting themselves with the area before the club's first season. The team's head coach, Dan McNamara, has coached the team full-time since 2024 as part of the RAF's elite athlete scheme. McNamara's team finished second in 2025 but were heartbroken to find the club had not applied for a licence for promotion. The club has since changed its approach to the women's team, with the hiring of a new head of women's and girls football, Russ Fraser, and the provision of private changing areas, a meeting/analysis room, and places to relax together for the team.
