Walter Bou, a 32-year-old Argentine forward, has been loaned to O'Higgins from Lanús until the end of 2026, according to a report by Olé. The forward will wear the number 9 jersey for O'Higgins, a team he previously played for in 2019. Bou had the intention of regaining prominence in Lanús after Rodrigo Castillo's departure, but only scored 2 goals in 18 games.
Bou has played 103 games for Lanús, scoring 28 goals and providing 8 assists. He was part of the Lanús team that won the Copa Sudamericana and the Recopa Sudamericana. The forward has also played for Boca Juniors, Defensa y Justicia, Unión, Gimnasia, Vélez, and Esporte Clube Vitória de Brasil. Bou's career achievements include two Sudamericanas, one Recopa Sudamericana, two Copas Argentinas, and one Liga Profesional title.
O'Higgins has also signed Santiago Toloza, Ignacio Schor, David Fernández, and Tomás Avilés. The team's main objective is to climb positions in the Liga de Primera and continue their participation in the Copa Chile. Bou's debut for O'Higgins could be on August 16 against Colo-Colo.
