Usain Bolt, an eight-time Olympic champion and world record holder in the 100 metres and 200m, has been registered to play for Wythenshawe FC Veterans over-35s. The team competes in the Cheshire Veterans League and boasts a squad featuring former top-level professionals, including Danny Drinkwater, Antonio Valencia, and Joleon Lescott. Managed by Stephen Ireland, a former Manchester City and Republic of Ireland midfielder, the team's line-up is impressive.

Bolt's registration to play for Wythenshawe FC Veterans is not a surprise, given his passion for football. As a huge fan of the sport, he attempted a professional career after retiring from sprinting in 2017. During this time, he briefly played for Australian side Central Coast Mariners. The Manchester United supporter has also been a regular participant in the Soccer Aid charity matches over the last decade.
