According to UEFA, 37-year-old French referee François Letexier has been appointed to oversee the Champions League play-off match between NEC and Bodø/Glimt. This is a significant appointment, as Letexier has previously been chosen to referee the Europa League final between SC Freiburg and Aston Villa. Letexier has a wealth of experience in refereeing high-profile matches, including the 2020 European Championship final between Spain and England, and the 2022 World Cup between Argentina and Egypt.

Letexier has also refereed several Champions League matches, including Ajax's losses to Napoli in the 2022/23 season and Olympiakos Piraeus in the 2025/26 season, as well as Feyenoord's loss to Atlético Madrid in the 2023/24 season and win against Bayern München in the 2024/25 season. The match is set to take place on Wednesday in Nijmegen, with Letexier in charge of proceedings.
