NEC's New Season Gets Off to a Rocky Start

According to VoetbalPrimeur, NEC's new signing Dusan Tadic made his debut for the club in their Eredivisie opener against Telstar at De Goffert. However, despite Tadic's efforts, NEC were unable to prevent a 1-2 defeat to the visitors.

The match saw Telstar take the lead just 27 seconds in, with Patrick Brouwer scoring the opening goal. NEC pushed hard for an equaliser, but Telstar doubled their lead through Rui Mendes after 24 minutes.

NEC's trainer Dick Schreuder made a double substitution at half-time, bringing on Kaj Sierhuis and Jamiro Monteiro. However, despite their best efforts, NEC were unable to find the back of the net and Telstar held on for a 1-2 victory.

The loss marks a disappointing start to the new Eredivisie season for NEC, while Telstar will be delighted with their surprise win.
