Nicolas De Tavernost, a 75-year-old with a wealth of experience in French football, has been named president of the board of directors at Stade Rennais. He brings with him a background in the sport, having been a shareholder at Bordeaux for 19 years from 1999 to 2018. De Tavernost's experience also includes a stint as CEO of M6 and director of LFP Media.

De Tavernost's appointment marks a significant change for the club, following the departure of previous presidents Alban Gréget and Guillaume Cerutti. Gréget held the position from May 2024 to October 2025, while Cerutti took over from October 2025 to May 2026. Both men were associated with the Pinault galaxy.

As president of the board of directors, De Tavernost will be in attendance at the Roazhon Park on Sunday evening for the club's match against PSG. His experience and knowledge of French football are expected to be valuable assets to the club.
