A complaint was filed on July 30 by several board members, including Carlos Sadi, against president Harry Massis. The complaint alleged signs of reckless management, statutory violations, and governance compromise. However, the situation changed when the club's direct payment of approximately 1.05 million euros (R$ 6.2 million) on August 5, which settled the transfer ban imposed by FIFA, rendered the complaint's grounds obsolete. The Ethics Commission determined that the payment was proof of the club's intention to comply with its obligations and that the transfer ban was temporary. As a result, the commission considered the complaint to be intempestive, with only the transfer ban episode being presented within the 15-day time frame set by the club's internal regulations.
