Sampdoria has officially confirmed the transfer of Yari Verschaeren from RSC Anderlecht. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a contract with the Italian club until the summer of 2029. Verschaeren comes from RSC Anderlecht, where he played 262 games. He has also earned seven caps for the Belgium national team.

Verschaeren will be reunited with director Jesper Fredberg, with whom he worked at Anderlecht. Fredberg is now at Sampdoria and has brought Verschaeren to the club. The Belgian midfielder will join Sampdoria, where he will play alongside fellow Belgian Bjorn Meijer, who recently transferred from Club Brugge. Meijer is one of several new signings at Sampdoria, which also includes Lorenzo Insigne, Peter Vindahl, and Tobias Lauritsen.
