Rennes Fall to 2-4 Defeat Against Brentford

The match saw Rennes struggle to contain the English visitors, who took the lead through Igor Thiago's header in the 19th minute. Seven minutes later, Vitaly Janelt found the head of Ethan Pinnock to double the lead for Brentford.
Rennes managed to reduce the deficit through a 20-meter shot from Sebastian Szymanski in the 47th minute, but the visitors quickly regained their two-goal advantage. Dango Ouattara scored the third goal for Brentford, before Callum Wilson added a fourth. Valentin Rongier scored a consolation goal for Rennes in the 71st minute, but the score remained unchanged.
The loss marks Rennes' second pre-season defeat, and they will look to bounce back in their final pre-season match against Sunderland on August 15.
