Spanish football association president Rafael Louzán has confirmed that Luis de la Fuente has signed a new and improved contract as the coach of the Spain national team. The new contract will see De la Fuente earn more money, with reports suggesting he will become one of the best-paid coaches in the world. He will now be at the helm as Spain defends its World Cup title in four years' time. Louzán has praised De la Fuente's results and work ethic, saying, "His results speak for themselves, his work ethic speaks for itself... and the fans love him and admire him." The Spanish football association is keen to keep De la Fuente, who has been with the team for 14 years, and wants him to finish his career with the team. According to Diario AS, De la Fuente may even stay until 2032.
