AC Milan's Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez is reportedly on the radar of FC Porto, with the Portuguese champions yet to lodge a formal bid for the 25-year-old. Gimenez moved to AC Milan in February 2025 from Feyenoord but struggled last season due to injury. He will now find himself lower down the pecking order at Ruben Amorim's side this term, following the signing of Portugal striker Gonçalo Ramos. Ramos is expected to move on in this window, which could potentially open up a spot for Gimenez at AC Milan.

However, it seems that Gimenez's teammate Rafael Leão could yet stay at AC Milan. The Portuguese forward had been linked with Galatasaray earlier in the summer, but the club are yet to receive any firm bids for him. Leão has previously spoken about his desire to one day play in the Premier League. AC Milan's coach Ruben Amorim has stated that Leão will have a battle on his hands to force his way into the Milan side, following the signing of Gonçalo Ramos.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are set to announce the signing of Belgian international Diego Moreira for a fee in the region of €50 million from Strasbourg. Moreira is in Milan for his medical and the transfer is set to be confirmed on Wednesday. The versatile left-sided player joined Chelsea in 2023 from Benfica and spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Lyon. Strasbourg, who are part of the same BlueCo organisation as Chelsea, signed the player in August 2024.
