The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has decided to invert the home field for the match against Rennes, originally scheduled for August 23. This decision was made in agreement with the two involved clubs. The LFP and PSG conducted an inspection, which concluded that the conditions of the grass would not allow the game to be held in satisfactory circumstances. The strong heat wave affecting Central Europe this summer has significantly accelerated the deterioration of the Parque dos Príncipes grass, which is now particularly damaged.

The Paris Saint-Germain understands the disturbance caused by this change to its fans and to all those who planned to attend the game at Parque dos Príncipes. The club has thanked Rennes, the Rennes city council, and the Ille-et-Vilaine prefecture for making the game possible. PSG has already identified a solution to replace the Parque dos Príncipes grass in time to receive Monaco in the next game scheduled for the stadium, on September 4, in the third round of the French championship.
