The Netherlands had a disappointing game against Servië, but fans are optimistic about the upcoming match against Griekenland. VoetbalPrimeur spoke to Oranje fans in the streets of Greece, asking about their expectations for the game. Despite the tough opponent, the fans are confident that the Netherlands will take home three points.
One fan expressed his faith in the team, saying: "Three or four against zero. The Greeks think they can do something after Germany, but no, that won't happen. We always have one bad game, like we did against Servië, and then we show ourselves again." The fan believes that the Netherlands will bounce back from their previous loss and secure a convincing win.
The fans' confidence is not unfounded, as the Netherlands has a history of performing well after a disappointing game. With the team's past performances in mind, it's no surprise that the fans are expecting a strong showing against Griekenland. The match is set to be a challenging one, but the Oranje fans are ready for the "heksenketel" (witches' cauldron) in Thessaloniki.
The next step for the Netherlands will be to take on Griekenland in the Nations League, with the team looking to secure three points and move up the standings.
