Milan are seeking to create a Head of Football role, with Markus Krosche, the current Sporting Director of Eintracht Frankfurt, being top of the list for the position, as confirmed by multiple sources including Matteo Moretto, MilanNews and Calciomercato. This move aims to address the sporting aspect of the club, which has been overlooked in the recent management restructuring. In May, owner Gerry Cardinale revamped the management structure of the club, sacking coach Max Allegri, technical director Geoffrey Moncada, CEO Giorgio Furlani and director of sport Igli Tare. However, no technical director or director of sport has been appointed since, leaving a gap in the club's management.
The current management structure has brought in new roles, such as Chief Executive Officer Massimo Calvelli, Chief Financial Officer Stefano Cocirio, Chief Brand Officer Francesca Montini, and Chief Revenue Officer Maikel Oettle. Despite this, the lack of a technical director or director of sport has left coach Ruben Amorim dealing with day-to-day issues on the sporting side. Milan still appear to be eager to sign Krosche, who was in advanced negotiations with the club several months ago and could still be united during this season.
