Manchester City have reached a principle agreement with Chelsea to sign Enzo Fernández, the Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims. Chelsea are said to be demanding a transfer fee of 140 million euros for the Argentine midfielder. The Citizens are yet to confirm the exact amount they will pay for Fernández. VoetbalPrimeur reports that Fernández is set to travel to Manchester on Tuesday to finalise the deal, with the English transfer market closing at 23:59 on the same day.
The deal would see Fernández leave Chelsea, who signed him from Benfica in January 2023 for 121 million euros. The midfielder still has a six-year contract with the Blues and could become the club's most expensive outgoing transfer, surpassing Eden Hazard's 120.8 million euro move to Real Madrid.
