Lucius has been open about his ambitions to become a head coach in the Eredivisie one day. He has been interim trainer for two games at FC Eindhoven, where he is currently on a stage as part of his trainers course. The 49-year-old has been working hard, attending NEC's match against Bodø/Glimt to analyse their tactics and gain insight into their attacking style of play.

Lucius has been at PSV for 13 years, but he wanted to experience what it's like to work outside the top tier of Dutch football. He has an agreement with PSV that if an Eredivisie club becomes available, he will be able to leave. This means that Lucius will be able to pursue his ambitions without being tied down to PSV.

Lucius's stage at FC Eindhoven is part of his trainers course, and he will likely be involved in another match as interim trainer later this season. After that, he will return to PSV, where he is contracted until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
