Lazio has announced the arrival of Josip Sutalo from Ajax, with the Italian club confirming the loan deal. According to Volvo Shots, Ajax and Lazio were in negotiations over the loan of Sutalo, which they eventually reached. Sutalo flew to Rome on Friday to finalize the deal and took his leave from Ajax on Saturday. This move is part of a larger strategy by Ajax, with technical director Jordi Cruijff tasked with selling players before recruiting new ones. Sutalo was already on the list to leave Ajax, but this transfer was prioritized after Cruijff's new role.

In the past week, Ajax has let go of five players, including Mika Godts, who joined Paris Saint-Germain, Ko Itakura, who moved to Borussia Mönchengladbach, Ahmetcan Kaplan, who signed with NEC, and Don-Angelo Konadu, who joined Lommel SK. The loan deal with Lazio includes an option to buy Sutalo permanently, which will be activated under certain conditions. If these conditions are not met, Sutalo will return to Ajax next summer.
